EARTH FOR ALL - Lecture series 2024

A just world for all! The new report to the Club of Rome.

April to July 2024 at the Augsburg University of Applied Sciences
7 times - Wednesdays from 6 to 8 pm - Admission free

In 1972, the Club of Rome published its groundbreaking study "The Limits to Growth".
50 years later, a large group of internationally renowned scientists published what is necessary for a good life within the planetary boundaries based on their calculation model:

  • What needs to be done to ensure that our "admirable, carefree, diverse, inspiring and bewildering civilisation" (Earth for all, Chapter 1) has a future?
  • How can the world become a good place to live for all people, so that no one lives at the expense of others and nature?

No small changes will suffice. The new study "Earth for all - a just world for all" calls for five fundamental changes: in world trade, in gender justice, in inequality within and between countries, in nutrition and in energy generation and utilisation.
As part of this series of events organised by Ag Education and Sustainability together with Augsburg University of Applied Sciences and the Centre for Climate Resilience at the University of Augsburg, scientists from Augsburg will present the key findings of the ground-breaking study "Earth for all - a just world for all" and also take a look at Augsburg: What can we do here?
The event will begin with an introductory evening on the basics of the new study and conclude with a celebration at Augsburg University of Applied Sciences in the park of the Silbermann Villa.
